Mr. J

Here is a preview of Mr. J. We met earlier this week just after school, and man, it was starting to get COLD. You can tell that winter is just around the corner for us here in the Midwest. He (ok, actually it was his mom), picked the great location of Phoenix Park. I LOVE that place!

While Mr. J was not terribly excited for Senior Photos (but then again, not many boys are - what's up with that?!), he did a fantastic job and I got some great shots. I wasn't able to get the one of him going into the girls bathroom, but maybe next time. :-)

Mr. C

Here is a sneak peak of Mr. C's photos. We went to one of my favorite local parks to get some great shots of this senior. He did an excellent job and had a good time (or so he tells me). Check out that smile!

Mr. S

Meet Mr. S. a 2011 Memorial High School senior. He took us on a drive to the Devils Punch Bowl last week. What an amazing place and a handsome gentleman. He took me on a hike down about a billion stairs (ok, not quite a billion, but there were ALOT of stairs), to the bottom of the 'Punch Bowl'. We were able to get some great senior photos for him at this beautiful location. Here's your preview. Hope you like it.

2 Year Old, Ayden

I had the opportunity to meet with Ayden and his mom at the park the other day. He is a busy boy and very talkative. 2 year olds are so much fun. We went off looking for ants and found many other things along the way. It was a pleasure to work with Ayden and his mother. Here is a sneak peak for you.

Helicopters

Millions and millions of these things in my yard, on my sidewalk and on my car. If anyone wants some, just let me know. I would be happy to 'harvest' them for you.

Remember how much fun they used to be when you were a kid? You would throw them in the air forever, and watch them 'fly' down. Well, as an adult, not so much fun. Still good for a little while, but after that, not so much.

I wonder if my new house will have them.

New Photos

Here are a few new photos to share.

Libby at the UWEC Jazz Fest. The NHS Freshman Jazz band played at the Jazz Fest. She failed to mention that she had a solo. But, luckily I was there to capture the moment. haha

Libby also went to MORP this weekend. Here are a few photos of the lovely ladies before they left. They had such fun getting ready. Don't you just love the blue eyeshadow?!

And.....Bobby bought a Camaro. It is beautiful. Here are a few photos of the car and Bobby. Don't be alarmed because he isn't smiling. He really is happy to have such a nice car.

Connor went to a friends cabin for the weekend. Unfortunately no photos to share of his weekend.

Girls Weetkend

We're not great, but we're pretty good!

It took us 7 years to get this group together again. Beth was very gracious and opened up her cabin to us '40-somethings' for the weekend. The cabin (and I use the term 'cabin' loosely, is much more like a home) is warm, welcoming, comfortable and beautiful. The view of Lower Long Lake is amazing. Right now the lake is still frozen over, with ice thick enough for the neighbor's dog to go for a walk across it, even though it makes a few of us nervous.

We started on Friday night with a van load of ladies (yes, we needed a van), heading up north to join Beth. It was a slow drive, due to the fog (and the GPS was a little testy at times). We celebrated our arrival with beverages (!!) and lots of snacks (there are questions if some of us had beverages during their commute). We shared a lot of memories and laughs, and we stayed up way past our usual 9:00 pm bed time (did I mention we are 40-something). And, more questions, why would someone would choose to sleep on the top bunk (and then why that same 'someone' fell off their top bunk, just saying....).

Saturday morning we had breakfast, and Sheila S. was able to join us. More beverages, food, laughs, beverages, drunk texting, memories, beverages, food, beverages, etc. After a movie (aka, nap) we decided to head out for some 'real' food. The bartender at the Larrabee Lodge was nice enough to take this wonderful portrait of us before we left, to have more beverages. haha We returned to the 'cabin' for another movie (aka, nap), laughs and memories. Once again, we all retired to bed after 9:00 pm (although I did nap, off and on, between 8:00 and whenever I went to bed). There is still some confusion about what time we went to bed, totally due to the daylight savings time change.

Today, we shared a wonderful meal together. (breakfast bake -which was delicious, even if I don't usually eat eggs, Diet Coke - I KNOW, coffee & tea). We also took a few photos together before we all headed home to our 'REAL' life.

I look forward to our next girls weekend and hope it happens sooner, rather than later.

I feel so blessed to call these amazing women my friends. Thanks ladies, I love you!

Polar Plunge

Congratulations to the Northstar Middle School Polar Plungers. They braved the weather today (32 degrees) and took a jump into Half Moon Beach to raise money for Special Olympics. As a group, they were able to raise over $3,000. Way to go Polars. Great job supporting your school and Special Olympics.

Blue Moon

Wasn't it pretty the other night?
